In Loving Memory of Gale (Masterson) Burns

Gale, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and cousin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 10, 2025. She will be remembered as a beautiful soul - kind, gentle, devoted to her family, and compassionate to all she met. Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will live on in every heart she touched.

Born on February 14, 1947, in Chester Hill, Pennsylvania, Gale was the daughter of the late Robert and Bernice (McClimate) Masterson. She was the devoted wife of the late William Burns, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life and a loving family.

Gale worked alongside her husband as a partner in their family business, G&W Refrigeration, and later served as an Administrative Assistant for multiple agencies within the Federal Government, where she was admired for her dedication and professionalism.

Gale's memory will be cherished by her children Patrick (Sandra), Kevin (Melissa), Michael, and Susan Roy (Matthew); her sister Mary Watson (William) and her grandsons Scott, Nathaniel, Leo, Brayden, Colin, Ryan, and Zachary who brought her endless joy.

A visitation to honor Gale's life will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Fairfax, Virginia, on Thursday, November 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass on Friday, November 21 at 11:00am, at Nativity Catholic Church in Burke, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association in Gale's memory.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her love continue to shine through the lives of those she so deeply cherished.
