Memorial service will be held at Central Lutheran Church, 1420 Cordova Street, Anchorage, at 10:00 AM on September 20.
Ross attended Central High School and Gustavus Adolphus College.
He worked for Schlumberger, Inc., British Petroleum Alaska, and Petrotechnical Resources of Alaska.
Ross served in the Marine Corps.
In order to honor Ross's memory, donations can be made to Arctic Valley Ski Area.

I worked with Ross for about 7 years during his "2nd" career with BP. He already had retired once, then returned to work part-time as a contractor. He was a joy to work with, but my fondest recollections were the many conversations we had on virtually any topic - seldom work-related. We were both "early-birds" and were among the first to arrive at the office on most days. We would spend a few minutes discussing world events before other team members arrived. We both took our final retirement within a few months of each other, but I am still significantly younger than he was when I first met him! He had boundless energy!
