Sally and Stanley Maudlin age 88 and 89 of Campbellsburg, passed away in their home. Sally Maudlin passed away on June 10, 2025, holding hands with her husband Stanley, who followed 16 hours later, on June 11, 2025.

Mrs. Maudlin was born on March 24, 1937, in Newton Stewart, Indiana the daughter of Arnold I. Atkins and Sybil Swift Atkins. She had retired from Smith Cabinet and the West Washington School Systems. She was a member of Campbellsburg Christian Church.

Sally is survived by one sister, Joyce Utterback of Franklin, Indiana and she is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Jack A. Atkins, Jimmy E. Atkins and her sister, Judith Grace Adkins.

Mr. Maudlin was born on April 9, 1936, in Campbellsburg, Indiana, the son of Lewis N. Maudlin and Lilly Wood Maudlin. He had a career in construction and later retired from Salem Rental. Mr. Maudlin was also a member of Campbellsburg Christian Church.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Delmar Claude Maudlin, Donald Lewis Maudlin and Gilbert Ray Maudlin, his sisters: Loral Louise “Weez” Taylor, Leota Routt, Anna Mae Brewer, Lucille Allen, Charlotte Walden and Maxine Smallwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Maudlin were married on July 11, 1954. They are survived by their son, Arnold Lewis “Buddy” Maudlin (Karen) of Salem, their daughter, Joni Lea Hardy (Clint) of Salem, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

They are preceded in death by their sons, Stanley Joe Maudlin and Jeffrey Alan Maudlin, their daughters, Jonna Kay Potter and Joy Lynne Shaffer, and two grandsons, Robbie Shaffer and Shane Shaffer.

Services will be held on Friday, June 13th, 2025 at Mount Tabor Christian Church at 2:00p.m. Visitation will also take place at the church from 10:00a.m until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
