Scottie Joe Hawkins, 32, of Leechburg, died June 22, 2024, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Allegheny Township.
He was born September 17, 1991 in New Kensington to David and Christina Burkett Hawkins. He was a 2010 graduate of Kiski High School and attended Thiel College.
Scottie was a truck driver and owner of Hawkins Trucking LLC. He enjoyed racing sprint cars, riding motorcycles and anything with two or four wheels and a motor.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Kourtney Mowery Hawkins; daughter, Daisy Rae Hawkins; siblings, Tyler (Shelby) Hawkins and Amber Renee Hawkins; maternal grandmother, Girtrue "Billie Jo" Burkett; paternal grandfather, Conrad Hawkins; and nieces and nephews, Troy, Rylie and Hank Williams Hawkins, Ayden and Rogan Mowrey, Emery and Jamison Robb, and Maverick Hawkins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ryder George Hawkins; brother Brandon D. Hawkins; and maternal grandfather George Burkett.
Viewing will be on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at 10AM by Rev. Dean Ward. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
