Sharon J. Shelstrom was born to Marlin (Shelly) and Patricia (Wolfe) Shelstrom on January 18, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri. She attended high school at Urbandale High School in Iowa and began working for Wyckoff Industries until 1998. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Baker, on September 11, 1965 where they raised their family in Urbandale.
Sherry loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, especially at their sporting events. Her grandchildren will always remember doing puzzles and having sleepovers at Grandma's house.
Sherry is survived by two children, Curt (Michelle) Baker and Shelly (Scott) Thompson; brother, Marc (Barb) Shelstrom; grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Baker, Jacob Thompson, Wyatt Thompson; one great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Baker; parents; sister-in-law, Pamela Englin.
