Steven J. Brown, 56, of Wallingford, beloved son of the late Jeannette (Cote) and Edward A. Brown, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Midstate Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Meriden, on November 3, 1968. He was a graduate of Sheehan High School. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years prior to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which required him to retire at a young age.
He is survived by his four brothers, Edward Brown and his wife Tina of Ormond Beach, FL; Michael Brown of Wallingford, CT; Richard Brown and his wife Lisa of Merrimack, NH; and Robert Brown and his fiancée Elizabeth Antonino of Hamden, CT. His six nieces and nephews, Michelle, Renee, Brian, Ryan, Cara and Savannah; his eight great nieces and nephews, Parker, Emilee, Jackie, Elliot, Isabelle, Natalia, Hunter, and Wyatt. He was predeceased by a sister, Jacalyn Brown LeVasseur and her husband Ronald LeVasseur.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to Steven's PCA's, The Hartford Health Care community, Agency of Aging, the nurses, doctors and the staff at Midstate Medical Center.
Steven's family will receive relatives and friends in the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville on Saturday March 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. His funeral service celebration will be in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery, Wallingford.
