Steven W. Davis

Steven W. "Steve" Davis, 59, of rural Colfax, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Anderson, Indiana, on August 8, 1963, to Jerry W. and Peggy J. (Tucker) Davis. He married Roberta A. Suter on October 21, 1990; she survives.
Steve graduated with the class of 1982 from Madison Heights High School in Anderson and later earned an Associate's Degree of Applied Science from ITT Technical Institute. He was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Frankfort where he served on the board, led Bible studies, ran the food pantry, and served in several other positions at the church. During Steve's younger years, he enjoyed working at the Colfax Grill, being a Cub Scout leader, and playing basketball for the Lafayette Spinners. He loved to play chess, video games, billiards, and putting together vintage cars and war related models. He was an avid Steelers, Cubs and Detroit Red Wings fan. Steve absolutely loved life, his church, and laughing at himself for some of the things he would do.
In addition to his wife, Roberta, Steve is survived by his stepfather, Chester Mullins; sisters, Diane (Donald) Borror and Joyce (Tim) Stewart both of Anderson; brother-in-law Robert (Cindy) Suter of Dayton; nieces and nephews, Tim (Brooke) Borror, Michelle (Ryan) Eldridge, Karen (Chris) Borror, Josh (Michelle) Stewart, Joe (Jennifer) Stewart, Jeremiah (Shannon) Stewart, Sarah (John Froberg) Stewart Humerickhouse, Amanda (Robert) Spradlin, Amity (Tommy) Miller, and Amie (Kevin) Bump; special nieces and nephews, Everett, Isaac and Kathryn Moore; and cousins, Rachel Moore and Jonathan (Marissa) Moore.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Saturday March 18, 2023, from 11am until the start of the funeral service at 1 pm all at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 5641 W Mulberry Jefferson Road, Frankfort, IN 46041, with Pastor Brad Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery at Colfax. Memorials in Steve's name may be made to the family to assist with unexpected expenses, Cornerstone Assembly of God Church or their Food Pantry at 5641 W Mulberry Jefferson Road, Frankfort, IN 46041.
