Pauletta Cottrell Grubbs, 68, of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away at her home on November 2, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1957, the daughter of Jasper and Cynthia Cottrell. Pauletta was a proud graduate of Frankfort High School.
On March 17, 1991, Pauletta married the love of her life, Raymond Clark Grubbs. Together, they shared more than 29 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with devotion, laughter, and love. Their bond was one of deep companionship and unwavering faith, and they now rest together in eternal peace.
Pauletta worked in quality control at Frito-Lay for over two decades. She was a member of Bethel The Pentecostals of Lebanon, where her faith and fellowship brought her great joy.
Above all, Pauletta’s heart belonged to her family. She proudly held the title of the best Mammie in the world. She would fight fearlessly for her loved ones and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included shopping, makeup, and purses—and she never missed an opportunity to look her best, even on an ordinary day.
She is survived by her children, Wendy (Wesley) Dotson, Thomas (Dawn) Grubbs, Lisa Lyle (David Khan), Tina Barkley, Dan (Clarissa) Wessel, Sweilla Roe, Michael (Brittany) Grubbs, and Matthew Fee: siblings, Rick Cottrell and Judy (Danny) Wessel. Pauletta was a proud grandmother to Josh, Ben, Allen, Sean, Jackson, Taiyia, Damien, Rylee, Brycen, Memphis, Chloe, Tori, Baylee (Tyler), Kali (Preston), and Dillon; a beloved great-grandmother to Ridge, Analeyah, Braxton, and Greyson; and her little dog Lexie. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Raymond Clark Grubbs, who passed on June 24, 2020; son, Casey Smith; grandsons, Alex and Adam Dotson; sons-in-law, Zach Roe, Fred Lyle, and James “Buddy” Barkley.
