David Merritt Obituary
David Allen Merritt, 28, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at his residence. He was born May 23, 1997, in Frankfort to Bonita “Bonnie” Merritt.
David graduated from Frankfort Senior High School, class of 2015. He enjoyed playing video games and computer games, playing guitar and singing, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends. He was a simple guy that enjoyed his family and friends but mainly liked to keep to himself.
He is survived by his grandfather, David Grant; uncle and aunt, Scott and Kristlyn Merritt; and cousins Emily and Alec Cummings, as well as other cousins.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, grandmother, Peggy Grant; grandfather, Dennis Merritt; uncle, Phil Merritt; and cousin, Nathan Merritt.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
