Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral HomesBrittany Lee Merritt was born on September 25, 1992 to Tracy Lee Williams and Troy Wayne Kemp, Sr. Brittany was raised in Massillon, Ohio and graduated from Washington High School in 2010. On September 29, 2025, at the young age of 33, Brittany peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories.
Brittany was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose radiant smile and vibrant spirit touched all who knew her. She loved to travel, spend time with friends, dance as she was the life of the party and embrace all of life’s adventures, bringing energy and laughter wherever she went.
Brittany was preceded in death by her father Troy Kemp, Sr, grandparents Edward Carpenter, Carolyn Carpenter, Bob Kemp, Martha Kemp, and Jacolia Williams.
Brittany’s memory will forever be treasured by her daughter Enia Merej, who she loved greatly. Husband Michael Merritt and children Melanie, Michael, Mary Jane and Mason; mother Tracy Williams and step-father Jermaine Williams; her siblings Troy Kemp Jr, Paige (Shane) Woolf, Selena Kemp, and Sierra Kemp; nieces and nephews, Madalynn, Jasper, Alaysia and Jaxton; by her best friend Elisabeth (William) Wirth and many other family members and friends.
Brittany’s life, although brief, was a beautiful testament to love, laughter, and light. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5047 located at 6680 Woodland Hill Road SW, Navarre, Ohio 44662 on October 18, 2025 from 2pm – 5 pm. Anyone wishing to donate or contribute please reach out to Elisabeth Wirth or Paige Woolf.
