Angela “Angie” Joan Cory-Treece, 60, of Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2025 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born on August 25, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois to Wayne and Joan (Weaver) Cory. Angie was a graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. On August 28, 1998, she married the love of her life, Wayne Treece, and together they shared nearly two decades of marriage before his passing on September 21, 2017.
A devoted homemaker, Angie poured her heart into her family and friends. She was a proud member of the Kiss Army and had a lifelong love of music. She enjoyed the thrill of fast cars, whether she was behind the wheel or riding along, and was never afraid to live life with a little risk. Angela loved to cook and was known as a fun-loving, goofy personality, and the person everyone could turn to for advice. To many, she was a second mom.
Free-spirited and full of life, Angie never knew a stranger. She will be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her unwavering devotion to the people around her.
She is survived by her son, Hunter (wife, Taylor) Cory; siblings, Charles Cory and Macon Cory.
Along with her husband, Angie was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family gathering was held at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Messages of condolences may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
