Christopher Allen Mayfield

Christopher Allen Mayfield, 42, of Frankfort, passed away, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon. He was born July 29, 1983, in Lafayette to Terry and Guyla (Moore) Mayfield. He married Travis Munoz on June 8, 2018, and he survives.

Chris was a graduate of Frankfort Senior High School, class of 2003. He worked several places over his years, including, Parks Department, Dollar General, Donaldsons, Papa Johns and Wal- Mart. He participated in Special Olympics. He enjoyed singing karaoke and flower gardening, especially sunflowers, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a kind-hearted man that had a passion for helping others.

Along with his husband, Chris is survived by his parents; his children, AJ (Averi) Mayfield, Cora Mayfield, Keyston Mayfield, Anthony Gilbert, Josh Gilbert; siblings, Omer (Katie Smith) Mayfield and Conza (Lee) Smith; grandmother, Martha Moore; aunt, CJ Moore; special friends, Melissa Eggers, Elaine Riednour, and Tina Bennett; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and grandkids.

He was preceded in passing by a daughter, Dakota Lynn Mayfield; wife, Lisa; and grandparents.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
