Joseph Cecil Mayfield III

MAYFIELD, JOSEPH CECIL "JOE", III, 61 of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 with his family by his side.

Joe worked in printing for many years and was retired from Fetter Printing. He formerly owned his own business, J Mayfield and Son (New and Estate Jewelry). Joe loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also dearly loved his family and friends.

Joe was predeceased by his wife Gail "Dee Dee" Downs Mayfield and his father, Joseph Cecil Mayfield, Jr.

Joe is survived by his son, Joseph "Joey" C. Mayfield, IV, his mother Catherine Mayfield,

his sisters, Theresa Gale Mayfield (Bob Fowler), Denise Losey (Jimmie), his partner, Sandy Kamber Wiedewitsch, nieces Heather Wright (Brad) and Rene' Losey, nephews Andrew Fowler (Laura Kreidberg ) and Matthew Fowler (Nicole), great nephew: Lucas Wright and his great nieces: Catherine Wright and Kassi Losey.

Visitation for Joe will be held from 2-7 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. His funeral service will be held at 7 PM on the same evening with Rev. Michael Greenwell, O. Carm. officiating. Interment will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in the St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery in Raywick, Kentucky.
