Richard Meves Obituary
Richard was a lifelong resident of Louisville and attended Atherton High School. He worked as a Cabinetmaker for many years at the old Enterprise Kitchens Company at both of their Louisville locations.
Richard was fond of camping during the summer and touring Civil War battlefields. He also enjoyed travel to visit family in St. Louis and elsewhere in the United States and he made longer trips to London, England and Jever, Germany.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harris F. and Ruth Leebolt Meves and his sister, Ruth Carolyn Meves.
He is survived by his brother, Harris Meves, his niece, Beth Gieser and a nephew, Paul Meves.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 10 AM also at Bosse Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road near his parents and sister.
