Christopher Paul Karcher

Karcher, Christopher Paul "Barney", 67 of Louisville passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026

at Hospice of Louisville Inpatient Unit.

Barney was a retired grounds keeper for Jefferson County Public Schools and enjoyed it

for many years. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid

collector of many things. He loved his music and always wanted to tell and show others

about it. Barney loved his nieces and nephews and probably was the biggest kid of the

bunch when they were together. Barney was an animal lover as well

.

He is preceded in death by his parents, T.G. "Jerry" and Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" Karcher

and brother G.W. "Wayne" Karcher and his loving fiancee of 13 years Tina McQueen.

He is survived by his brothers, Keith Girard (Joyce Ann), Ricky (Brenda Ann), Terry Lee

"Tiger" (Susie), Kerry Lee "KK" Karcher; 17 Nieces and Nephews and 11 Great Nieces and Nephews; Sister-in-law Debbie Karcher and Sister-in-law Brenda was his caregiver

His funeral will be Monday 11:00 AM, March 9, 2025, at Bosse Funeral Home 1355 Ellison Avenue with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday March 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM at Bosse Funeral Home.
