It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Audrey Leavins Grubbs, who left us peacefully on November 2, 2025, just a few days shy of her 79th birthday. Born on November 7, 1946, in Dixie County, Florida, Audrey spent her life bringing joy to those around her. Audrey, nicknamed Peanut, retired as an accountant for Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in the hospital industry, known for her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering work ethic. More importantly, she was a loving mother to her sons, Dean and Derek Grubbs, who were the pride and joy of her life. Audrey's love was felt not just by family, but by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Audrey loved fishing and crabbing along the Gulf coast. A passionate sports fan, she never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite college football, baseball, and basketball teams. She cherished hosting and cooking for family and friends during the holidays and rarely didn't have a camera to memorialize the occasions. Audrey was very strong in her faith and a longtime member of Celebration Baptist Church in Tallahassee.

She is survived by; her 2 sons, Dean Grubbs, and wife Adrianne Morrison, of Sopchoppy, FL, and Derek Grubbs, of Quincy, FL; a brother, Thomas Leavins, and wife Joan, of Bradenton, FL; 2 grandchildren, DeeDee and Alice; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by: her parents, Aubrey & Wanell Falany Leavins; and a brother, Ronnie Leavins. We invite all who knew and loved Audrey to honor her memory at a funeral service to be held on November 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. Prior to the service, there will be a public visitation starting at 2:00 PM, allowing friends and family to come together to share cherished memories and support one another in this time of loss. Following the service, Audrey will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, where her spirit can eternally enjoy the beauty she loved so much. Audrey Grubbs will always be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her.
