In loving memory of Steven E. Yates, loving Husband, Papaw, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
It is with great sadness that the family of Steve E. Yates announces his passing. Steve passed unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, May 24th 2022, at the age of 54. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his children Timothy, Megan (Gary) and his Grandchildren Jeffrey and Eveilyn. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Stella (Frank) and Ronald. His sister and brother in laws Joy (Gary), Penny (Brad), and Tracy (Myra). As well as multiple nieces, nephews and other loved ones. Steve was a friend in every person he talked to, he never knew a stranger. If he considered you a friend, you were family, and to him family was everything. His love for life was on display for all to see. He was never afraid to say I love you to any of us, and lend a helping hand. In every jester he showed kindness, a true example for us all.
Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Angela D. Yates (Cullum), parents, Beacher Yates and Ada M. Yates (Kirk). By his Mother and Father in law, Barbara E. Cullum (Miller) and Cecil (Bill) Cullum. By his Brothers James (Bo) Yates, Timothy Yates, Kenneth Yates and his Sisters Sally Yates and Sherry Yates.
A funeral service and viewing of Steven will be held on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., at the Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E, Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43227. Interment Grove City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
If he considered you a friend, you were family.
