Summer Carter

Summer Louise Carter 47, passed away on Tuesday August 8, 2023. Summer was born in Fort Stockton Texas to Kenneth G Carter Sr and Mary Yardley Carter on April 23, 1976.
A celebration of Summer's life will be held at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Joshua, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday August 15, 2023, from 6 - 8 PM. Services will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 9:00 AM at Mountain Valley's Chapel.
She attended Monahans Wickett ISD during her grade school years. She spent every summer break at the Wickett Swimming Pool, where she would piggyback ride on one of the older four siblings. During her 4th grade year, she moved to Lake Worth Texas where she finished school, and later earned her associates degree. If you knew her, you knew her name "Summer" was most fitting as she loved everything nature, little kids, all animals, succulent gardening, sunflowers, her morning coffee with the sunrise, and of course a lucky game a bingo with family and friends. She deeply loved her dog's Sunny and Littlebit. Summer lived her life out loud and on her terms, making many fond memories with all who crossed her path. She will be forever in our hearts.
She was proceeded in death by her father Kenneth G Carter Sr. and niece Micaela Betteridge Gerrek.
Summer is survived by her mother Mary Carter, fiancee Mike Garcia, Kenneth G Carter Jr. and wife Donna, Stephanie Carter and husband Brian Bost, Harold Carter, Belinda Carter Betteridge and husband Mike, Ashlin Strother and husband Clint, Amerin Betteridge and wife Maci, Justin Betteridge, Austin Betteridge, Janice Smith, Sandra Carter, Malena Garcia.
