Sybil Webb Obituary
Sybil Dupre' Webb, 77, a native and life-long resident of Houma, died on November 17, 2023.
She was born on January 22, 1946. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Houma. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Sybil is survived by her daughter, Tandi Lynn Candies (Shane), and her son, Matthew V. Webb (Stacy): siblings Carolyn D. Riser, Myron J. Dupre (Stephanie), Maurice J. Dupre' Jr. (Lisa), Lolita D. Bader (Joe), and Kenneth P. Dupre' (Crystal).; "MiMi" will be sadly missed by her four grandchildren: Tyler Dillon, Austin Dillon, Madison Webb, and Taylor Webb; in addition to her special Candies grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Tandy Webb; parents, Maurice J. Dupre', Sr. and Mildred Blanchard Dupre', and an infant sister Wanda Marie Dupre'.
Sybil was a parishioner of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and her hobbies included baking, gardening, and traveling. As a long-time member and former President of the Rotary Club of Houma, she lived and believed in the motto "Service Above Self" and especially enjoyed working with youth service projects.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in her memory to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
