Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell on Dec. 12, 2025.
Charles Ryan Webb was born January 23, 1969, in
Jackson, Michigan. He entered into the presence of his Blessed savior on December 3. 2025.
Ryan, of Columbus, Ohio was a man whose faith was the heartbeat of his life and whose love for his family was boundless. He spent his childhood in Findley before moving to Columbus when he was about 12 years old. He was the beloved son of Charles Webb and Barbara (Ellis) Webb, both of whom preceded him to Heaven. He was also preceded into heaven by his sister Allison Collamore, and nephew Joshua Sayers.
He is survived by the love of his life Lisa Teal-Webb, his four cherished children, Tyler (Jenny), Noah, Cole and Makayla; as well as many spoiled pets who managed to make the Webb home their own... sometimes slipping in as "temporary" houseguest but stealing the hearts of all in the process to secure permanent laps to call their own. He is also survived by his father-in-law Robert (Nancy)Teal Sr., sister-in-law Amy (John) Gibbs, brother-in-law, Bob (Lisa) Teal, brother-in-law, Justin Collamore, and his nieces and nephews: Eli Collamore, Sydney Teal, Mackenzie Teal, Josiah Sayers, Brianna Sayers, and numerous cousins along with many great lifelong friends.
Ryan was a Navy Veteran. He proudly served his country in the Navy intelligence arena during Desert Storm. This helped foster such a lifelong patriotic love and appreciation for our country. Ryan worked for many years in the Department of Education using his IT skills to benefit others. He was a proud alumnus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Ryan was a lifelong fan of many sports, but most especially, Ryan loved to cheer for THE Ohio State University Buckeyes. He often wore his Buckeye scarlet and gray proudly and even traveled to a National Championship game with his wife and close friends. Lisa and Ryan enjoyed many Buckeye Cruises. A history scholarship is being established at The Ohio State University as a special honor for Ryan and his love for history and the Buckeyes. This will provide a way for his legacy to continue in the same generous spirit he displayed throughout his entire life.
Not only did Ryan love the Buckeyes, but he also had a huge heart for animals of every kind. He fed the deer, squirrels, and any animal in need. And yes, he even loved bugs. Another enjoyment for Ryan was the simple joy of cooking food with his daughter Makayla and playing video games with his boys and nephews. In addition, Ryan was a bit of a pyrotechnic kind of guy with a huge enjoyment of anything fireworks related.
Ryan loved the Lord, loved his family, loved people, and loved life. He showed those around him how to best prioritize time here on earth. In his last act of extraordinary love, Ryan made the selfless choice to donate what he could of his organs, offering others the long-awaited gift of hope and renewed life. What a blessing that his last earthly footprint is one of grace and generosity.
A celebration of Ryan's life and the promise of resurrection will be held near his birthday in January 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Brave Men Inc. www.bravemeninc.com or Columbus Dog Connection www.Columbusdogconnection.com two causes which were extremely close to Ryan's heart.
Ryan ran his race with endurance, love, and faith. Now he hears the words every believer longs for: "Well done, good and faithful servant". On the day the Lord welcomed him home, Ryan left behind a legacy of strength, contagious laughter, and a rock-solid belief that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
Go rest high on that mountain for your work here on earth is done.
Until we meet again at Jesus' feet, we love you, RyRy.
