Ronald Joseph Bourg, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 25, 1936, in New Orleans, Ronald lived a life rich in love and commitment to family, leaving behind cherished memories for those who knew him.
Ronald proudly served his country in the Army for six years, instilling in him the values of dedication and resilience that he carried throughout his life. Ronald's passion for building was evident in the home he constructed for his family; a place filled with laughter, love, and countless treasured moments. Ronald was an avid fisherman and hunter, and you could more than likely find him on his time off in the boat.
Ronald is survived by his children; Deborah Arceneaux (Kenneth), Jeannie Watson (Joseph), Kent Bourg (Sandy); grandchildren, Kyle, Kegan (Heather), Beth, Hilary (Barry); and great-grandchild, Scarlett
Ronald is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara "Deannie" Scott Bourg; children; Sheryl Ann and Mary Ann Bourg; parents, Louis Bourg Sr. and Mable Gautreaux Bourg, siblings; Donald Bourg, Louis Bourg Jr. and Patsy Bourg.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut on Saturday, December 20, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
