Francis Joseph Labit, 82, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12:01AM. Francis was a native and resident of Houma. LA.
Private services for friends and family were held at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial taking place in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Francis is survived by his loving family; his wife of 41 years Olivia Songe Labit, their children, grandchildren and great-grand children
Francis is preceded in passing by his loving parents, Leon Labit Sr and Marie Breaux; sisters, Gloria Gatson, Betty Steele; brothers, Davis Labit, Leon Labit Jr, Joseph Labit, Johnny Labit, Ralph Labit and Roy Labit.
He was an avid LSU sports fan, duck carver and member of South Louisiana Wildfowl Carvers for many years.
