Mabel Mary Baio Moore, age 93, a native and resident of Houma, La., passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Mabel is survived by her loving daughters, Karen and husband, Curt Marcello Jr., and Connie Seago, of Houma. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Callie and husband, Corey Thiac, and their daughters, Sadie and Kate Thiac, and their son, Cooper Claude Thiac; Courtney and husband, Ryan Clement, and their daughter, Reese Clement and daughter Elise, and Cammie Seago; step-grandchildren, Terie and Curt Marcello; step-great-grandchildren, C.J., Brettly, Katie and Alex; and her sister, Marie "Bunny" Richardson.
Mabel was preceded in passing by her husband, Edward "Teeny" Joseph Chauvin Moore; her parents, Antonino Baio and Mabel Mary Jumonville Baio; her son-in-law, Claude Seago Jr.; her brothers, Lionel Baio, Alfonse Baio, and Anthony Black Baio.
A visitation will be celebrated in her honor on Friday, March 6, 2026, in the Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m.
Mabel enjoyed going to Disney World, camping and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mabel Baio Moore.
