Walter T. Jensen

Walter T. Jensen, 93, of Owego passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, 2022 at home. Walter was born in Rochester, NY to the late Henry and Madeline Jensen. He married his wife, Sally B. Booker, on July 9, 1955 and they were married for 67 years. Walter worked for GLF (Agway) as a foreman, owned and operated Sexton Lumber and Fuels for 12 years, was a self-employed handy man, plumber and contractor around Owego for over 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, remodeling and fixing things. Walter was a member of Friendship Lodge #153 for 60+ years, former fire commissioner for the Town of Owego for 17 years and a member of the Kalurah Shriners Temple. Walter was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Sally Jensen; brother, Robert Jensen; sister, Evelyn Panebianco. He is survived by his two children, Christopher and Cathryn Jensen; brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Lillian Jensen; two sisters, Norma Kelly, Laura Currie; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
