Winnie Petty Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Dr. William Oakley with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Kevin Petty, Bobby Ellis, Dustin Bennett, John Ford and Ricky Petty will be serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27th until service time at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Petty of Ripley; Ricky Petty of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Dustin Bennett, Kevin Petty, John Paul Bennett, Alison Petty Ellis; four great-grandchildren, Knox Ellis, Cooper Ellis, Jones Petty, Paxton Ellis; two sisters, Doris Hall (Ken) of Dyersburg, Virginia Jenkins of Berwick, PA and one brother, James Maynard of Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Thomas Petty, Dennis Ray Petty; and one brother, Ray Bryan Maynard.
The family requests memorials be directed to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

My sincerest condolences to the Petty family. I know all too well there are no words that can provide comfort during the loss of a family member, especially a parent. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I have fond memories of Winnie in the 70's, she was always such a nice person to us kids in the neighborhood. May she rest in peace.
