Gedvilas, Susan M. "Sue" Age 57 of Yorkville, IL, at rest Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, IL. Born January 21, 1955 in Evergreen Park, IL the daughter of the late Harold and Delores Smit. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Bob, her dearest son Christopher (Heather) Gedvilas. Her mother-in-law Darlene (the late Leo) Gedvilas, along with her four brothers; Craig, Glen, Mark and Paul Smit. She is the loving sister-in-law of Tom & Julie, Larry & Sheila, Joe & Sue, Jake & Lynn, Mary Ellen Butz, Andy & Sharon and the aunt of numerous. Sue grew up in Naperville and was employed by the City of Naperville in the Transportation, Engineering and Development Offices. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home. Interment will be private. I worked with Sue at Naperville the whole time she was here. She was such a sweet and loving woman, and a friend to all. I'll always remember her with a smile. She had such a love for life, and fought with everything she had to hang on to it. She is truly loved and missed. God bless you, Susie Q, your struggle is over.
