Eric Fannin Obituary
Eric Eugene Fannin, age 68, passed away on June 2, 2013, doing one of the things he loved the most, riding his Harley. He was born on May 23, 1945 in Springfield to Armand and Ruby Jewell Fannin.
Eric graduated from Parkview High School in 1963, then served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He was an avid MSU Bears Basketball Fan and loved his grandchildren dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Fannin, his children; Brandi Short (David), Travis Fannin (Jill) and Ryan Fannin (Candy), and his grandchildren; Logan Short, Gabbi Short, Jackson Fannin and Spencer Fannin.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 9:30 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial following in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude's Hospital.
