Charley Cooper was a wonderful credit to our class. Very smart, always professional, helpful and a pleasure to be around. It always made me feel good to see him when we were serving together in the Office of the Chief of Engineers. I am sorry he has passed...he was a great friend.

Charlie Cooper was a wonderful classmate and friend. D-2 was a better place for having him a member. RIP. Bill Page

Charlie and I were fellow USAF foreigners at that US Army Prep school on our Stewart AFB- rifles, KP, close order drills, UGH,but we survived. He into D-2, me to H-2 in the Lost Fifty's. After graduation we only saw each other in the early 60s in Hawaii,me at PACAF, he at Schofield. I visited them at their beach house in Halaeiva and went snorkling with him on their reef. We caught or were caught by a Moray EEL- lots of teeth- and were only saved by our sabre skills with crossed spear fishing arrows!
After we only met at class reunions, but kept in contact with the yearly Christmas card letters.
He was a good friend, and will be missed!

I roomed with Charles as a yearling at West Point. He was a wonderful, intelligent and compasionate roomate. We entered the Corps of Engineers along with 38 other classmates. He was a formidable leader in all respects. Rest well Charlie

I always enjoyed interacting with Charlie, as a cadet, at NC State, and in the Juice Dept. He was always calm, warm and honorable in his relations with others, willing to help others, and exceptionally intelligent. Of his life, may it be said, "well done".

Charlie Cooper lived by the words of the Cadet Prayer. He never became upset or raised his voice in anger. He was considerate, loyal and a wonderful friend.
