Dear Mary, Mary Beth, Josh, Colton and all the Barnett Family,
John and I send you our deepest sympathy on the death of your father. Meeting him at Mary Beth's wedding was very special for us. He was a true gentleman and an accomplished scholar, whose comments and questions kept us on our toes. The fact that he was nearly 90 and I was "only" in my fifties had nothing to do with it. What a mind!
Special love and prayers to you all,
John and Constance Dalton

Mary -
This is the other George (Ernest) Barnett, cousin to you and your dad. I always enjoyed your parents' visits to Cambridge, and corresponded with your dad from time to time for some years after your mother's passing, but lost touch and couldn't find his address online. I have fond memories of him, and of your Barnett grandparents as well.
I know this is a late request, but if you have not yet had the interment, I would like to attend, if that's ok.
Most of my grandmother's (your Aunt Annabel's) farm has gone out of the family, but my wife and I built a house on part of the property and live there now. If there's anything we can do to assist with local arrangements, please let me know.
You can reach me at my work email address of [email protected].
Sincerely
George

Mary,
I am so sorry to learn of your father's death. He certainly had a long life and he was greatly loved by his family. He also had a very impressive and brilliant career. You were very fortunate to have him in your life for so long.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy and may you be comforted by your memories of him and time shared.
Take care and I'll call after you've had some time.
Love to you and your family and we'll keep you in our prayers.

Condolences to Dr. Barnett's family. I have fond memories of someone who was always a gentleman and who never seemed to mind his daughter's silly high school girlfriends. Peace and blessings.
