Curtis Cambre Obituary

Curtis James Cambre was born in Marrero, LA on February 9, 1974, and he went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He resided in River Ridge, LA for most of his life and had the chance to travel the world. He served proudly in the U.S. Army as a chemical engineer. He then went on to study aviation and receive his pilot license. He then became a flight instructor. He also had a passion for cooking and was an avid movie watcher as well. He loved Ro-Bear's Snowballs and could eat a whole quart in one sitting, he thought they were the best snowballs in town. Curtis was extremely smart, funny, caring, and full of charisma. He would help anyone who needed it anytime it was in his power to do so. He was very generous and sympathetic. He was very much loved by all his family and friends. Curtis is survived by his mother, Sandy Bonnette; two brothers and their spouses Travis and Mayme Vicknair and Scott and Ashley Cambre; two sisters, Dawn Jennings and her husband Chris, and Frankie Cambre; his uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Villane; cousins Brad Villane and Katie Johnson and Eric Meyers and Sherrie Lange; and nine nieces and nephews Collin, Shaye, Brook, Carter, Tiffany, Kayla, Sean, Brandon, and Ryan. He was preceded in death by Mike and Joan Meyers beloved aunt and uncle and our beloved grandmother Ruth Villane whom we know welcomed him into Heaven. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will start at 9:30 AM and the service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive in Slidell, LA on Monday morning, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
