Hazel Belt Obituary

Hazel Nunez Belt, age 87, on July 14, 2003 at Northshore Living Center. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for 17 years and a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd S. Belt, Sr; daughter of the late Paul H. and Eulalie Devenport Nunez; sister of the late Herbert P. Nunez; mother of the late Hazel B. Uselis; grandmother of the late John Lloyd Hammerstone. Beloved mother of: Lloyd S. Belt, Jr. and Mrs. Gerry Belt Watson. Sister of: Mrs. Olga Nunez. Grandmother of: Cindy B. Hebert (Mrs. Terryl), Donna B. Grayson (Mrs. Charlie) Tina F. Kinney (Mrs. Dennis), Gina F. Nelson, Toni F. Lilly (Mrs. Anthony), Roni F. Luparello (Mrs. Dale), Candiss W. Jones (Mrs. Reese) and eight great grandchildren. Also survived by devoted son-in-law Jim Watson; God-child Carol Guidry and devoted friends, Linda Bourassa and Mary Sarver. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA. on Thursday, July 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Msgr., Lanaux J. Rareshide, celebrant. Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, Slidell, LA. on Wednesday evening from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. and at the church on Thursday after 10 A.M. until funeral time. As appreciative as the family is at this time of the usual remembrances they ask that Masses be considered and memorial donations to HOSPICE of the DELTA, 100 Smart Place, Slidell, LA. 70458 Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc, Slidell, LA.
