Ron and family,
I have known Sheila since the twins were 3 years old. I also worked as Temple“s speech therapist at the Creative Learning Center for many years. My condolences on your great loss. If it would be of any comfort for Temple to FaceTime or Zoom to reminisce about old times, I would love to speak with him. (504) 905-3529. No pressure, just if he would enjoy it! I remember how sweet his sisters were to him and how they would come to the center on their holidays from school and play, do homework or just do their hair! Temple had a lot of fun at school. We did a lot of pretend play outside, wrote a lot of creative writing stories and read some really fun books. My favorite was when he pretended to be a bird who injured his wing, and we acted the whole scenario out through play! Sheila always put her kids first, and I hope that they will all continue to share the good memories of their mom. She and I kept in touch for these years since you moved, and I wish you all the best as you cope with her loss. Hugs to the kids!

Sheila gave our kids a wonderful and happy and nurturing school after Hurricane Katrina..Her Creative Learning Center was a therapeutic school and so much fun too, meeting complex needs of my son and other worthy students when our kids needed it. Sheila was nothing short of a hero, she taught our families too. My family will always be grateful to her, always love her. To her loving family, thank you for sharing her as she taught and inspired so many. We are grateful to y'all as well. Love from the Bordelon family (Clarke was Sheila's student)

Dr. Sheila Lewis Ealey you were my best friend in the Academy. I will miss our everyday video chats about various topics and movies. We shared so many tears while writing our dissertations but were able to laugh after we graduated. Listening and watching you helped me to be stronger in my fight. I still pick up my phone to send you a video and then I realize you're in heaven. My heart breaks but I know that God wanted you to rest. What a great warrior and advocate you have been. Thank you for being my friend. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of many people. Rest well my colleague. Sending prayers for the Ealey Family.
