Francis "Frank" J. Dillon

Francis "Frank" J. Dillon, 92, passed away June 10, 2018 at his home in Lakewood. Mr. Dillon was born and raised in Paterson, NJ. In 1960, he and his wife, Muriel, moved to Upper Saddle River, NJ, where they raised their family. In 1994, he moved to Oro Valley, AZ for many years, then to his home in Lavallette, NJ and finally settled in the Harrogate Community in Lakewood, NJ. Mr. Dillon served in the US Navy during World War II as a Radarman on the USS K MacKenzie. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. Frank retired after 35 years of service from the NJ Bell Corporation. He was a communicant of the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River for many years. Frank was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Dillon is predeceased by his wife Muriel; and siblings, James Dillon of Omaha, AR and Jeannette Dillon of Montvale, NJ. Francis is survived by his children, Pamela Corry and her husband, James, of Arlington, VA; Sean Dillon and his wife, Margi, of Basking Ridge, NJ and their three children, Francis, Aidan and Hannah; sister Patricia Halliwell and her husband, John; nieces, Maureen Murphy-Smolka and Jane Connors; and nephew, James Dillon.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2-5PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel RC Church in Saddle River. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
