PAULINE SCHAAP (nee KLOMPIEN) LANSING, IL Pauline Schaap, nee Klompien, age 78, of Lansing, IL, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014. Beloved wife of Luke Schaap for 54 years. Loving mother of Paul (Lori) Schaap, Ruth (David) Dykstra, Jean (Rodney) Korthals, and Mary (Brent) Yurschak. Devoted grandmother of 11: Benjamin, Hannah, Matthew, and Jonathan Schaap, Mark and Sarah Dykstra, Scott and Brian Korthals, Nathaniel, Rebekah, and Ella Yurschak . Dear sister of Rev. Carl (Ellen) Klompien, Dr. Gerald (Barbara) Klompien, and Joan (Late Raymond) VanDyke. Sister-in-law of Richard (Marcia) Schaap and Marjorie (John) Verbeek. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents John and Johanna Klompien. Visitation will be on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6 /159th St.) So. Holland, IL. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Reformed Church (16248 South Park Ave., South Holland, IL 60473). Interment will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL.
