"Beward the man of one book" wrote Thomas Aquinas many centuries ago. My friend Linwood was a man of many books . . . and poems and essays, a man who was a product of the best in liberal education. Our walks together would be filled with good talk from beginning to end, and my only regret is that we started so late in life--for both of us. I look forward to our next walk, old friend, when the road will be smooth and the sun always shining. Until then my prayers go with you. Jim
