JOHN L. PAYNE John L. Payne 70, of Helena, AL passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013. Mr. Payne is survived by his wife, Alice Hardy Payne; daughter, Elizabeth Payne Floyd (Ben) of Auburn, AL; grandsons, Kirkland Payne Floyd and John Calhoun Floyd both of Auburn, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette Glen Payne and Helen Elizabeth Mahan Payne; and a brother, Richard Alan Payne. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Bill Gardner officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. In Lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Big Oak Ranch, P.O. Box 507, Springville, AL 35146.
