Barbara L. Hudson

Barbara L. Hudson, age 70, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the K.U. Medical Center. She was born on May 24, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonard and Esther (Burns) White. On November 14, 1953, she was united in marriage to Alfred Hudson in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They had 53 years of marriage and he survives of the home. Mrs. Hudson worked in retail sales for the Base Exchange at Whiteman AFB until her retirement. She was a member of the Whiteman Base Chapel and the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terriel Hudson of Warrensburg and Ernest Hudson of Columbia; two daughters, Cathye Hudson and Stephanie Hudson, both of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Vergie Hurd of Oklahoma City and Maude Ann Brady of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Mark White of Newport News, Virginia and Roy White of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers. Leonard White Jr. and Malcolm White, and one sister, Erma Jean Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2006 at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO. Graveside and burial service will be in the Trice Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Pallbearers are Terriel Hudson, Ernest Hudson, Mark White, Roy White, Leonard Hudson and James Hudson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lupus Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home.
