John Bounds Obituary

John Joseph ("Joe") Bounds died on Friday March 21, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. Joe was born in Okla. City, Okla. on July 13, 1935 to Sam and Elynn Bounds. He attended Oklahoma City Public Schools, graduating from Classen High School in 1953. From there, he attended Oklahoma A&M College and subsequently served in the United States Army. Joe had an infectious laugh, a winning personality and an unforgettable smile. He never met a stranger and had a funny story for every occasion. Later in life, Joe married his beloved Felicia and they lived a wonderful life together in Mesquite, Texas, but often visited Oklahoma City for various school reunions, family gatherings and parties. Joe is survived by Felicia his daughter, Kelley Jo Bounds and her partner, Nicole Reed of Richardson, Texas his brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Charlotte Bounds of Houston, Texas and countless other family members and friends around the world. Joe's family and friends held a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at his daughter's home in Richardson, TX, and everyone shared a laugh and a tear while listening to stories about Joe's incredibly colorful life. Everyone who knew Joe will miss him dearly.
