Sorry to hear of your loss.
I remember Suzie well, especially the Grand Canyon trip(I think I was 17, Kathy 21 and the Hippie looking bus with the flowers, face on the front, being stop by the Highway Patrol, sleeping in the Pine needles, eating Frito Chili pie's, hiking down into the Hopi reservation, seeing the 3 waterfalls, all those beautiful young girls I had to put up with). She got me interested in camping to this day, from sleeping out in the open to tents and now pulling 5th wheel 'Toy Hauler'.
Suzie was a wonderful woman that will be missed, but God will care for her now. God Bless you all.

I cherish memories of Suzie while growing up during the campfire girl days. I share those memories often with friends and more recently with one of my sons who is becoming involved in scouts. I have told him about our bus and sleeping out under the stars, hikes in the canyons, the Illinois river trips, etc. He told me he needed a tent for a compout once and my reply "...you don't need a tent, when I was a campfire girl we just used to throw our sleeping bags on the ground, they don't make little compers like they used to!" And then he'd ask about showers, and I asked him "Isn't there a creek or river near by?" The few years Suzie shared her love for life, adventure and nature with me and I'm sure everyone else who had the privledge of knowing her will never be forgotten. Having known her changed my life forever.

Susie was my campfire leader and I have some awesome memories of our trips--especially Padre Island and the Grand Canyon. You all will be in my thoughts.

God Bless you in your loss. It came as a true shock when I heard that she had passed, she was a truly remarkable woman. As I am now raising a daughter, I wish she could have all of the wonderful times that I experienced through junior high and into high school.
We lost our 14 year old son almost 5 years ago (Feb. 15) to cancer and I know what it is to love someone so dear to you and then to see them go before you're ready to let them go. I love you guys lots and will be thinking about you.
