Josh, I don't know if you remember me (we use to run around together at 4-H camp), but I want to take the time to say that I am truly sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Julie (Craig) Wake

John was a remarkable humanitarian, a champion of those who struggled most in society, extremely intelligent, compassionate and most simply and beautifuly, a trusted, cherished and thoughtful friend. His passion for living and all living things should inspire us all. While his absence will be sorely, conspicuously and deeply grieved, his spirit and joie de vivre will be fondly remembered by so many, and for a long, long time. Condolences to all who will be touched with sadness by the passing of this great man. Happy canoeing and gardening in the heavens of your great spirit, John. We love you.

I suppose I should think first of John as a coworker at Behavioral Health or in his role as the Panhandle RPA. But my fondest memories are of a might band of exploreres canoeing down the Niabrara with John leading the way. I will always treasure that experience.
