Jack Ridgway Obituary

Royston Mr. Jack L. Ridgway, 92, of Royston, GA passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Avery Place in Winterville, GA.

Mr. Ridgway was born in Royston, GA on June 05, 1922, son of the late Lee Ridgway and the late Romie Christian Ridgway. He was the owner and operator of Royston Radio & TV and a member of the Royston Baptist Church. Mr. Ridgway was a U.S. Army Signal Corps Veteran having served during World War II.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ridgway was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Davis Ridgway; sisters, Floy Ridgway and Mary Magdeline Ridgway.

Survivors include his children, James "Jim" Lee Ridgway of Royston, GA and Jane Elizabeth Ridgway of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Bret Walden, Dawn Elko, Susan Ridgway; four great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Ridgway will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston, GA with Rev. Jonathan Barlow officiating.

The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening. The family is at the home.

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Royston Baptist Church, 767 Church Street, Royston, GA 30662.
