I write to express my sorrow for the loss of your dear mother. I never knew her until her last few years through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. To see this aged lady, barely able to walk, come Monday after Monday with a trunk and car full of bread and sweets for the poor was truly inspiring. She was an amazement to me. I never knew of her service in the Armed Forces as a nurse. She has spent her life truly caring for others. So I would just say, it was an honor to have crossed her path and to have witnessed her sincere and enduring love for the poor and needy. She gave to others until she was physically unable to do any more. Now, she is our dear "Annie Angel" in Heaven. With sincere condolences. Ellen Buskirk Fountain Valley CA
