Louise Steffen

Louise was born in Portland, Oregon to George and Louise Knoche. She attended Jefferson High School from 1946-1949 and was very involved in theatre. She met her first husband, Ian Dobbie at Portland Civic Theater and they married in 1957. They welcomed their daughter, Erika, a year later. Ian passed in 1982. Shortly after that, Louise began working for OHSU in Inter-Library Loans. She retired in 2003 and married Raleigh Steffen that May. Sadly, Raleigh passed away in 2006, just shy of their third anniversary. She is survived by her daughter, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on October 7th at 1:15 p.m.
