Gary A. Kitzmiller

1952 - 2018

Our beautiful and wonderful relative, nephew and cousin passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov.18, 2018. He was born February 2, 1952 in Harrisburg to the late Joseph and Marie (Gher) Kitzmiller some sixty-six years ago. He was extremely talented and loved music. He played the keyboard and drums and family would gather around him at each holiday to sing/dance as he played tirelessly. Gary attended and graduated from John Harris High School and attended HACC and Penn State University. He worked for Penn National Insurance Co. for 2 decades, but left to fulfill his dream of working in nature and opened his own business. He was the beloved nephew of Virginia (Gher) Crawford and her husband, David L. Crawford of Harrisburg. He was the cousin of Diane Marie Bias of Hummelstown and David Allen Crawford of Harrisburg. He will be greatly missed by his golfing buddies and in his youth was an avid tennis player and bowler. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 at Malpezzi Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at St. John's Cemetery where his parents have also been laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County.
