Kenneth Elsworth Myers

Kenneth Elsworth Myers, 80, of Marysville, PA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 17th, 2007. He died peacefully in his sleep at home.
Ken was born in Highspire on July 31, 1927, the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Eckert) Myers.
He was a retired owner/operator of Texaco Gas Station in Camp Hill.
He also served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Duncannon American Legion.
He was the husband of Bessie "Becky" (Orwan) Myers for 27 years.
Surviving are his children, Vicki D. Shaffer and her husband, Dave of Etters, Kenneth J. "Bub" Myers and his wife, Judith of Duncannon; step children, Donna J. Paul and her husband, Thomas of Lewisberry, John D. Bowen and his wife, Katie of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Lisa Arnold and Kenneth Myers; step grandchildren, Timothy Bowen, Zachary Paul, and Joshua Paul; great grandchildren, Travis and Michael Arnold; brothers, Paul Myers of Enola and Dean Myers of Ohio; one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Zeiders.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 in the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, with Pastor James O. Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Highspire Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 450 Sylvan Street, Marysville, PA 17053. www.pennlive.com/obits

I think of how good you were to Eric, Lynette and the boys when they lived across the street from you. Ken is at peace now but forever watching over you. I will remember him always and hold the entire family in my prayers.
