Roy Mitchell Obituary

Roy Andrew Mitchell

Mr. Roy Andrew Mitchell - age 83, of Satsuma, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born in Pensacola, Florida January 31, 1928. He worked for several years at Newport Industries in Pensacola and retired from U.O.P. in Chickasaw as a maintenance supervisor. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Mitchell; and his two brothers, Bernie and Billy Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Celia Mitchell of Satsuma, AL; four children, Dianne Miller (Ron) of Mobile, Shirley Lee (Marvin) of Pensacola, Glen Mitchell (Nina) of Irvington, and Don Mitchell (Loree) of Satsuma; seven grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12 Noon with visitation from 10 A.M. until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Celia and family,
My thoughts a prayers are you all for the loss of Mr. Roy. I came to love him and all of you during his stay with us at Knollwood Pointe. God is good and faithful, and He will surely see you through this time of greef and loss.

He did good with what he had and always made me feel welcome in his home. It was a real privilege to have known him. I hope we meet again up there.
