Roger Kleist Obituary
PEORIA - Roger Lee Kleist, age 87, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 11:50 a.m. at The Loft in Eureka.
He was born July 26, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI, to Adeline Kleist. He married Barbara Marshall on Oct. 17, 1953, in Peoria. She survives along with three children, Randy (Marilyn) Kleist of West Peoria, Robin (Tony) DeMoss of Washington, IL, Ryan (Lorrie) Kleist of Peoria Heights; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rosemary Eberle of Creve Coeur, Lois (Tom) Mazur of Kenosha, WI, and Colleen Koch of Washington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one daughter, Rusti Davis; one sister, Betty Brown; and one brother, Robert Langloss.
Roger was a Carpenter working out of Local 237 in Peoria, retiring in 1993. He was a lifelong Cubs fan, enjoyed betting on the horses, fishing, and going to Las Vegas. He enjoyed most spending time with his family and will be remembered for having a good joke.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be at Resurrection Mausoleum. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Rogers passing . I know it has been awhile since we talked but I have kepted up on you guys through Toni Buckert .
Roger was the one who taught me the most in our trade and I always tried to pass along the quality and professional working way of doing things that he instilled in me .
Thank God he lived long enough to see the Cubs win the world series.
I know he will be missed by all of you, but the memories will last forever.

Roger was always be remembered as a kind fun loving friend. He will be missed but leaves many good happy memories. I am so happy he was my friend and he will be missed. Prayers for the family.
