RUTH V. SNYDER

KETTERING — Ruth V. Snyder, age 98, of Kettering, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Snyder, on November 5, 1999; parents, Wallace and Pearl Bazler; brothers, Jack and Jim Bazler; and sister, Mildred Parker.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mike) DeBusk of Pilot Mountain, NC; a son, Jerry (Kathy) Snyder of Riverside; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Rogers and Alma Sexton.

Ruth was the last charter member of Carey's Run Church of Christ and lived each day to its fullest.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Ruth's family would like to express their extreme gratitude for the care she received, and friends she made, at Oak Creek Terrace.

Ruth Snyder was my Sunday School teacher and VBS teacher at Careys Run. She was wonderful. A kind, faithful Christian woman. Truly fine memories of Ruth. Condolences to her family.
