Janae Smith Obituary
Janae was born May 23, 1970, to Dennis and Glenna Smith. She grew up in Shelley, Idaho, as the second of seven children. She married Jared Smith on March 9th, 1991, in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. Together they raised their three sons in Idaho Falls.
Janae received her nursing degree from Ricks College and worked as a NICU RN for 20 years, as well as a flight nurse, blessing and saving the lives of countless babies. She eventually took her valued nursing knowledge to get a master's degree in nurse education and became an educator.
Janae was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was always a great example of what it meant to be Christlike, and never wavered in her faith in Jesus Christ.
Janae was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family and truly cared for all those who were around her. Quick to put a smile on your face, and always there with a listening ear, she always had the ability to make you feel welcome and loved.
She is survived by her husband, Jared Smith; her sons, Carrick (Maddy) Smith, Cullen (Teonna) Smith, and Kearn (Elsa) Smith; grandchild, Lainey Smith; parents, Denny and Glenna Smith; siblings, Darci (Casey) Moss, KayLyne (Matt) Newell, Amber (Matt) Averill, Alitha Smith, Darin (Pamela) Smith, and Garret Smith.
She will be missed by all, and we are grateful for the knowledge that we will see her again.
The family will receive guests at the Milo Ward Building Located at 12127 N 75th E, Idaho Falls, ID on Friday, January 10th, from 11am-1pm and 5pm-8pm.
