David A. Polhamus
of Binghamton
David A. Polhamus, 53, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, November 16, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, after 31 years of marriage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Helene and George Ortloff, Jennifer and Richard Smith; parents, Robert L. and Helene Polhamus; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel J. and Karen Polhamus, Robert L. and Shawn Polhamus, Ronald L. and Kelly Polhamus, Steven P. and Robin Polhamus, Stanley L. and Elizabeth Polhamus; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; his beloved feline companion, Malmart. He was an avid hunter, fisher, bowler, and golfer. David will be remembered for his big heart, partying, and singing karaoke.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to David's family c/o Deborah Polhamus, 22 Colfax Avenue, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.

I can't tell you how sorry I am about David's passing.

I'll keep in my heart the memories of our family gatherings and how much they meant to him. He certainly did make them lively.

He was a very kind and generous man. He will be sorely missed.
